Under the direction of the Director, the Site Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of the After School program at their specific school site.
The Site Coordinator will directly supervise a team of 2-4 part time Program Leaders.
The program includes four primary components:
Academics, Enrichment, Nutrition, & Recreation (Physical Activities).
The After School Enrichment Program will operate with these components 5 days per week.
The goals are to improve literacy skill levels and academic performance and to strengthen social skills in youth.
As a member of the site management team, the Site Coordinator will also engage actively in our Annual Giving Campaign, assist with Healthy Kids Day, and other branch-related events.
The Site Coordinator will represent the Marin YMCA in the local community.
This position is located at a Waldorf school and the incumbent is expected to embrace a Waldorf approach within the after school program that aligns with the overall school culture and community.
Previous experience and a deep understanding on Waldorf education is strongly preferred.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 21 years or older 2 years college/Associates Degree or 12
units in ECE or related courses or form youth development training.
Experience working within a Licensed Childcare facility.
Available Monday - Friday until 6:
00 pm, morning and early afternoon hours are flexible, must be available from 12pm-6pm M-F.
Experience working with elementary aged students Current EMSA approved CPR and First Aid certs, TB test and live scan fingerprint clearance (employer will provide these after hire if needed) Must provide school transcripts documenting necessary qualifications and previous work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS College education in Child Development, Education, Social Services or related field.
Program Management, 2 years of supervision experience Experience working within a Licensed Childcare facility Understanding and appreciation of Waldorf education WORK ENVIRONMENT/MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS You must have the physical, visual, and auditory ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Attend all staff meetings and trainings as required, including meeting at least monthly with the school site administration and the Y leadership to coordinate program design, discuss evaluation processes and outreach efforts, and address other issues.
2.
Support a culture of team work, inclusivity, philanthropy and cause-driven program development.
3.
Establish and nurture positive relationships and high levels of communication with school site administrators, teachers, aides, custodians, and other community stakeholders.
4.
Develop and maintain positive student, parent and family relationships.
5.
Facilitate staff trainings and refreshers during the fall and spring semesters.
6.
Lead and strengthen efforts in integrating Youth Development Framework in ASP programming.
7.
Assist with professional staff development.
8.
Deliver quarterly branch-wide youth development events.
9.
Direct and supervise the after school programs at your designated school site.
10.
Support school year camp programs during fall, winter, spring or school observed holidays.
11.
Create comprehensive program schedule.
12.
Promote and recruit program participation; assure proper assimilation of new program participants.
13.
Coordinate registration and data entry process for programming.
14.
Plan, schedule, and implement family orientation nights at the school site.
15.
Maintain records essential for control, evaluation and reporting of program results.
16.
Schedule the use of community and YMCA facilities necessary to conduct programs.
17.
Work closely with the Y leadership and site staff to:

Align activities with the regular school day.
b.
Conduct assessments and surveys.
c.
Design and implement program and student evaluation tools.
18.
Communicate with students, parents and families:
Provide program orientation, encourage involvement, and maintain monthly contact.
Provide on-going parent workshops, services and special events.
Respond promptly and courteously to parent concerns and/or complaints.
Immediately notify school site administration and the YMCA leadership of parent concerns and/or complaints.
Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and performance.

Be flexible - other duties as assigned by your supervisor 20.
Frequently wash hands for 20 seconds minimum with water and soap 21.
Complete all mandatory Talent LMS safety training and Y-USA e-Learning before the first shift in the facility 22.
Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
